God’s Will

God’s Will

by | Spirituality/Religion, Updates

Many people talk about and truly want to know and apply God’s will in their life, but what does that really mean, and how is it done? Most people hope that God’s will provides an easier and happier life, and that worries and problems will quickly resolve in clearer ways, with more beneficial and prosperous outcomes. This viewpoint is not wrong, but originates in our conscious mind from logic, wishes, and beliefs. What we conclude from this perspective may also not be wrong, but it could thwart God’s highest will for us and create misunderstanding, dissatisfaction, and spiritual resistance.

Misunderstanding develops from being unaware of the bigger picture and making important rational and linear assumptions and conclusions based on inadequate information. This highlights the difference between God’s view and ours!

Dissatisfaction stems from what we see, feel, and prefer versus the reality of our situation, what we have, and/or how things work out.

Spiritual resistance originates because we have based all of our identity and functioning on our present life experiences, inaccurate beliefs, judgments, and expectations. All of these components are generated from the conscious left-brain, and have been, regrettably, necessary and normal in everyday life. However, due to the continuing flood of high multidimensional energies onto earth, these normal processes are now holding us back from a more spiritually evolved life. We will explore more fully the differences between our personal will and God’s will.

OUR WILL

Our personal will, based on the (generic) left-brain conscious ego functioning and identity, wants things to be and turn out the way we think they should, we want, or feel we deserve. The focus is nearly exclusively on self and our personal understandings. We have allowed our conscious ego to become our dictator, and this is now our exclusive identity. This situation occurs because we feel separate from others and God. No matter how much we learn and how capable we become, there are significant spiritual limitations to this linear protocol that can only be surpassed with energetic understandings, applications, and transformation.

GOD’S WILL

God’s will is about our soul’s purpose and what will serve us best for soul growth. Some circumstances appear to provide no clue about what to do to for the best outcome, or we may not even know what outcome we want. Sometimes we are conflicted between thoughts and feelings, or pleasing others or ourselves. We attract challenging situations into our life for a higher purpose than what we consciously understand or can easily manage or control. We grow through these challenges when we reinterpret occurrences with a broader life lens, and take full responsibility for why things are happening the way they are, and embrace the divine timing. Accepting that we are all energetic souls and that God is our Source, internal, external, and eternal, will shift us into a deeper and more expansive understanding of everyday life. Unconditional love and all of the divine attributes we now lack are already inside us, waiting to be set free from our merely conscious conclusions that block this purer, higher, and stronger God-filled energy.

How does all of this help clarify God’s will versus our will? We crave soul fulfillment and oneness with God. God’s Light is headquartered in the solar plexus, (solar, get it?), an inch and a half above the navel. It is continuously and profoundly functioning, even if it is held in abeyance by low frequency conscious energies. The other two significant areas where God’s Light is highly charged are in the right creative and spiritual side of the brain, and in the crown chakra. The greatest boost towards integrating this Light, moving into spiritual unity, and finding God’s will is through Surrendering.

SURRENDER

Even the word “surrender” is hard for some people to say, let alone do. It implies losing – such as a battle, or control, or something with great meaning. A similar word is “submit,” and that usually means giving in by stepping back or down to someone or something that has greater authority. Then there is the popular phrase of, “I’ll just let that go,” There is a significant difference, in spite of how subtle this may sound initially, between surrender, submit, and letting go.

Letting something go translates energetically as moving aside. For example, if you know something around you is going on but you can’t or don’t know of anything to do to help, you let it go. The low energy of it is still around you, but you are not focusing on it.

Although submitting means acquiescing to a higher authority, energetically you may still hold your original thought or feeling, and this could lead to resentment.

With surrender, you literally hand over to God your life, and/or anything of concern you are carrying. The energy you hand over is actually removed! This newly vacant space in your energy system is instantly available for God’s Light to fill. Continuing to surrender over time, will consistently and incrementally integrate the two hemispheres of the brain, and transform your life! Surrendering works immediately, even if you are not initially aware of much difference. Continue the practice to strengthen your skill and improve the effects of this incredible spiritual tool.

An enhancement of surrender is to use God’s Shelf. This is especially valuable for longer-term issues. Imagine placing on a shelf near your body any concern, discomfort, or perplexing problem. Ask God to take it and work it out to the best for all involved. Claim you will trust God, and be filled with gratitude for this blessing. Repeat as needed. You will notice wonderful outcomes!

HOW TO KNOW GOD’S WILL

When we surrender our will to God, ask for God’s will to be done for the best for all involved, and claim we will trust with gratitude, we WILL receive God’s will. We may need to say these words many times, whenever our thoughts retreat to our familiar old patterns. But at some point, we will get our answer. We may or may not need to wait longer than we would like. We could be surprised at what happens, and things usually flow easier. We are much more accepting of any outcome because we know it was meant to be for our highest good. WE TRUSTED GOD! When we review the experience in hindsight, we will see a larger and clearer picture of what we then needed to learn, how it has served us, and perhaps why it happened when it did.

God wants us to be more complete, contented, empowered, and fulfilled than we can possibly imagine. Trusting in God’s will transforms our life and identity. It is the path to lasting happiness and wholeness. Surrender your life and everything that concerns you. You have nothing of value to lose, and everything worthwhile and eternal to gain!

COVENANT PRAYER, JOHN WESLEY, 1755

I am no longer my own, but yours.
Put me to what you will, place me with whom you will.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be put to work for you or set aside for you,
Praised for you or criticized for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and fully surrender all things to your hope and service.
And now. O glorious and blessed God, Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer,
You are mine, and I am yours.
So be it.
And the covenant, which I have made on earth,
Let it be made also in heaven.
Amen.
